There are tons of websites that discuss the question of America’s founding. Many (maybe most?) Are steeped in ignorance, a few are both thoughtful and thought-provoking. But every one that I examined dealt only with the most superficial issues or made their arguments on the basis of outright biases, one way or the other. I have not seen a single site that tried to understand in what sense a secular human government might “be Christian.” And there can be no genuine answers given under such circumstances. Such things as the fact that neither the Constitution nor the Declaration of Independence mentions, or even leans toward, Christianity simply are so wide of the mark that they answer a question that was not even at issue. We have attempted a first, feeble attempt to define the question before answering it. Surprisingly, America in its early days, behaved like a corporate Christian, albeit with a couple of shortcomings. For a new paper on the topic, go to the blue menu banner above, click on the Bible Research Web Site button and >For those who like to read.> Battle Lines>America was a Christian Nation.
