Satan only tempts people who are in a position to cause great and lasting error, evil, or ungodliness. Any false belief may refocus our spiritual concerns in meaningless or counter productive areas to our great hurt. Kenny Luck has not done his homework and has passed on teachings not in the Bible (ironically, about Satan in his book Fight). On certain subjects this is inevitable, so great caution is necessary. But could it be Satanic? Is not false information good for the Devil? Does it not help him in his anonymity and deception? Is this not part and parcel of the Rick Warren phenomenon? I would not cast such aspersions, but I cannot deny the possibility, either. But how can I be sure? I do not know Rick Warren. But I can know the Bible and God. And the Bible takes me in a different direction than Rick Warren or Kenny Luck. This is why we should study the Bible instead of Kenny Luck. He who does not know how to study is at the mercy of others, whether for good or for ill, because he cannot separate fact from opinion.
