America's Coveted Lies

These are a few of the lies we have trained ourselves, as a culture, to believe. This is as close as the World can come to a consistent religion, agreeing on little except for the disbelief in God. It is also, the Established Religion of America. As our National Religion, it is guaranteed by our courts and funded by with our tax dollars.
1. All reality is existence, that is to say, physical.
2. Man is the measure of all things. – Protagoras

4. Political pragmatism, or expediency, is morally permissible (and often desirable).
5. Economic forces can be judged ethically. For example, self-interest, in capitalism, is a force for good ( – Adam Smith) or evil (– Socialists)
6. Uniformitarian geology and the notion that the earth is exceedingly old. – Charles Lyell
7. Natural selection, as a mechanism, creates evolution, a godless process used to explain life. – Charles Darwin
8. The substitution of volition and extreme individualism for rationalism and ethics. – Nietzsche
9. History guides itself (rather predictably) by means of class interest. – Hegel and Marx
10. The subject is the ultimate arbiter of reality. – Freud
11. There are no moral absolutes. Hegel, by way of Situation Ethics
12. By way of conclusion, “do your own thing;” all opinions are equal.

Here you have the tenets, of the religion known as Secular Humanism, its outlook (Naturalism) and its politics (Utopian).
