The following eBooks are now online at Amazon.com
O Lord Do Not Heal Us (for we dearly love our disease) is a historical perspective on the philosophical decline of the West from antiquity to the present. It relates, in broad terms, the steps from the ancient world to postmodern America caused by shifts in the worldview that has produced both the West’s unparalleled technical advancement and its indescribable moral suicide. And where is our God? Romans 1:18-28.
Like Climbing a Waterfall is the response and application of Christian philosophy to the cultural catastrophe of today. It presents the means of challenging today’s cultural problems, culturally and individually. It is a supplement to O Lord Do Not Heal Us, presenting a few of the numerous points of Biblical conflict with today’s cultural “wisdom.” As talking points in discussions with others, they will illustrate how pervasive (even among Christians), such cultural beliefs have become. And also, how few people actually understand the basis for our underlying cultural development and our society-wide acceptance of these anti-Christian attitudes.
Maximal Baseball (beyond mechanics) is the book I couldn’t help writing. The only thing going further back in my life, than the research required for O Lord, Do Not Heal Us, is baseball. I have played, watched, and coached it for most of my life. Forgive me for this digression.
Time on My Mind is a book of three short stories, written many years ago. They are just for fun.
These last two, Maximal Baseball and Time On My Mind, were put online before the others so that I could see what was involved in the process of publication.

These last two books were actually published first because there was not nearly so much involved in producing them, and because I wanted to see what was involved in the process before I tried it with the other two.
In regard to O Lord Do Not Heal Us, once it has been read, the philosophical flaws in virtually every self-help book on the market and the reason they fail to deliver the results they promise will become obvious, for like all the rest of us, they also partake of our empirical outlook or worldview. This is a wake-up call for Christians to reexamine our worldview so that we may once again sing a different song rather than simply mouthing another chorus of the World’s self-centered ditty.
I have one overriding message, and I would like it to be heard, although I harbor no illusions that it will be. No one wants to hear it. As has been said, “crooked fences hate plumb lines.” In the interest of “being heard,” I would encourage you to honestly rate whatever works you may read. Ratings help the work to be viewed by others. Other works of various sorts may be found on our sister web page, available by clicking the bright yellow box on the menu at the top of this site. These include some of the papers that were basic to the publication of these books as well as writings and Masters Theses by others. I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on these matters. Thank you.
